Madam Prime Minister, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé spoke this Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the government headquarters in Lomé, with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Togo, Julius Adebowale Adesina at the end of his mission in our country.
At the end of the audience, the Nigerian diplomat indicated that he came to say goodbye to the head of the Togolese government, after two years of activities.
“Regarding the work that I was given, I worked on promoting cooperation between Nigeria and Togo and so I really liked what we did here together. I am at the end of my mission and it is my right to come and tell him that I am leaving again,” declared the Ambassador.
Julius Adebowale Adesina welcomed his mission to Togo. “Essentially, we have worked for the promotion, the development of trade and there is also the forum between Togo and Nigeria; on the educational level as well. We have a lot of things to do together. Even if I am leaving , we will also work to promote things that I was not able to finish before leaving,” he continued.
The diplomat confided that he has good memories of Togo. “What I particularly remember is the fact that the Togolese are hard workers. Also, I saw that the women here are dedicated women. I also saw young people who are very dedicated studies. I have served in other parts of the world; I also believe that Togo is one of the best countries”, he suggested.
Recall that Julius Adebowale Adesina has been stationed in Togo since May 28, 2021. Before his appointment, he was notably Editor-in-Chief of the independent Nigerian daily “The Guardian”.
