The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Togo has a new Resident Representative. Ms. Binta Sanneh was received in audience this Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Prime Minister’s Office by the head of government, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé.
The two personalities provided an overview of cooperation between Togo and the UN agency in recent years.
The Prime Minister took the opportunity to outline the three strategic axes of the 2020-2025 government roadmap to the new UNDP Resident Representative in Togo. Axes that fit perfectly with the UNDP framework cooperation plan.
“Our priorities are aligned and we discussed governance, inclusive growth but also everything related to grassroots development, the environment and climate change. I reaffirmed to the Prime Minister the UNDP’s commitment to continue to work alongside the government to achieve the objectives of the road map,” declared Ms. Binta Sanneh at the end of the interview.
“I am from the sub-region and the challenges are almost the same. I am counting on the Prime Minister and the other authorities so that we can work together to achieve the objectives,” she hoped.
Before Togo, Gambian Binta Sanneh was stationed in Chad.
