On Wednesday 29 May 2024, Prime Minister Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé chaired a working session in her office with a Tony Blair Institute (TBI) delegation, led by its President, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The meeting focused on the Institute’s project evaluation in Togo. At the end of the working session, the TBI President congratulated the government for its remarkable progress in several areas in Togo in recent years.

“I have personally seen Togo’s progress and I realise that the authorities intend to use all the country’s assets and opportunities to fulfil their great ambitions for the people. With a very young population, it’s very important to achieve a vision for the country to make young people optimistic. We can really leverage on the country’s huge potential, and we do have a foundation on which to build this vision and make it happen. As far as we are concerned, our ambition is to build partnership to achieve very concrete results. We have a lot to do with you and for you. Today, therefore, it is important to support the country in achieving the President’s vision for the coming years,” he indicated at the end of the meeting.

The Prime Minister thanked the Institute and its President for supporting Togo’s development efforts over the past ten years.
