Madam Prime Minister, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé received in audience this Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Prime Minister’s Office, Aengus Kelly, the Executive Director of the company AERCAP, the largest aircraft charter company. He was accompanied by the Managing Director of the pan-African company Asky, Esayas Woldemariam Hailu.

The discussions between the head of government and the two personalities revolved around the development of the airline based in Lomé. Mr. Kelly took the opportunity to announce to the Prime Minister the upcoming arrival in Asky of two new planes to increase its fleet in view of the good development of the company.

“It was to announce to the Prime Minister the arrival of two aircraft at Asky. New generation aircraft with the strategic development of the company. We want to help Asky to develop.” declared Aengus Kelly, Executive Director from the company AERCAP based in Dublin, Ireland.

The Managing Director of Asky, Esayas Hailu was delighted with the arrival of these two new aircraft which will boost air traffic. He thanked the government for its support to the company which is helping to make Lomé an air hub in the sub-region.

“With the two new planes arriving, there will be destinations in Paris and Asia. Lomé being a strategic platform, the hub of the sub-region. It was very important for us to have these two planes which will amplify traffic and give another image to our country Togo in the field of aviation. Togo is a small country but with a huge strategy in the aviation field,” explained Mr. Hailu.
