The Head of the Government, Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé, met with the Plan International Country Director to Togo, Ms Awa Faly Ba. She seized the opportunity of the meeting, which took place in the Prime Minister’s office on Wednesday 12 February 2025, to bid her farewell.
The two personalities seized the opportunity of the audience to take stock of Plan International Togo activities carried out under Mrs Awa Faly Ba, who has come to the end of her five-year mission in Togo.
Ms Awa Faly Ba revealed that investment in children and girls increased as activities were prioritised in the Savanah region in line with the government policy. The Savanah region featured prominently on the government priority agenda after security was affected in the area.
The Country Director also announced that their sponsorship will continue throughout the country, with 124 partner cantons implementing Plan International activities and girls’ leadership initiatives.
She praised the pristine organisation of the first World Girls’ Summit in Togo.
“It was a great solemn moment and I wish to avail myself of this opportunity to warmly thank the government team, which leaves no stone unturned when it comes to children’s rights, equality for girls and opportunities for all Togolese young people,” declared Mrs Awa Faly Ba.
