The new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Togo, Dr Claudius Fischbach received in audience this Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Prime Minister’s Office by the head of government Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé. A courtesy visit after the presentation of his credentials to the President of the Republic His Excellency Mr. Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé on September 19.
The two personalities took an overview of the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation which unite the two countries. Dr Claudius Fischbach is committed to further strengthening these historic relations between Berlin and Lomé for the benefit of both peoples.
Germany supports Togo in several areas, notably decentralization and good governance; professional training ; economic development and agro-industrial transformation.
Dr Claudius Fischbach before his appointment to Togo was German Ambassador to Qatar. He also held several positions of responsibility within his country’s diplomatic missions in Iran, Paraguay, Morocco and Brazil.
